Engaging Key Stakeholders: Training NGOs across India to foster a better relationship with their donors
Context
USAID and ABT have been supporting Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) working in the area of maternal and neonatal health. For many decades, USAID had supported them in several areas including technical, financial, and training requirements. At this point in time, USAID and ABT felt the need to help these CSOs to improve their capability to engage local stakeholders and raise funds locally from corporate and individual donors. They engaged Aaroh to create training modules in the areas of communication, organisation development, Advocacy, legal and finance including compliances. Anything that would be required to help them make themselves more attractive to receive grants from local companies with CSR funds. Aaroh did a need gap analysis and created modules on 9 topics and created a 5 day training program.

- Aaroh anchors topics on leadership, strategic planning, and communications, thereby enabling organizations to connect with their stakeholders, manage legal, finance, and due diligence to enable fundraising and social enterprise.
- Aaroh delivers the curriculum in two states – Rajasthan and Jharkhand to verify content and do the second level check to ensure alignment to the requirements on the ground.
- The curriculum is being rolled out across other states and other functional areas in India.
